We believe that there is no better education than through exploring the world around you and learning from the people you meet. This is known as experiential learning in the field of outdoor education. Although we are not an education company, we hope our customers challenge themselves and have fun while learning.

Join us for one of our scheduled trips, hire one of our guides, or ask us in assistance in planning your next adventure. Our team of experienced travelers have probably been where you are going and can help you have the experience of a lifetime.
No glamour camping here. We prefer tent camping, rustic cabins, or trail shelters for our trips. sleeping under the stars is always an option. For the occasional hotel stay, we choose small boutique hotels, historic hotels, or hostels.
Our modes of transportation vary depending on the trip. Bike, van, bus, RV, or train could all be included or combined depending on the trip. Some trips include airfare, others require you to get to the departure point on your own. Please read trip descriptions carefully.
MEET OUR TEAM!
Experienced guides and trip leaders
Our team of well traveled trip leaders have a variety of experience and skills to meet your needs. Each trip is unique and circumstances change along the way. We are prepared to handle all types of weather, situations, and emergencies. All of our guides have basic first aid and cpr as a minimum requirement. Most have additional certifications.
CHRIS
Backpacker, Leader, Father, Partner, Humanitarian, Teacher, and Weekend Athlete.
Chris has backpacked over 400 miles of the Appalachian Trail, hiked most of our National Parks, and finished an Ironman Triathlon. He is a former National Ski Patroller, US Army Veteran, and Camp Director. He has led outdoor trips from New Mexico to the Smokies.
MARISSA
A certified challenge course instructor and zip line guide, Marissa has led groups in West Virginia and across the country. She is also a certified lifeguard and wilderness first responder. Experience in kayaking, paddle boarding, climbing and hiking round out her experience.
GEORGE
George is an expert survivalist and situational leader. He has is an excellent mentor and teacher with experiences focused on youth and college aged programs. He is a seasoned adventurer, small business owner and homebrewer.
GREG
The owner of Happy Hop Yard is also a high school teacher and experienced sailor. He has traveled the world coaching and mentoring young adults in his role as the US National Boomerang coach. Greg is also a trail runner, kayaker, and entreprenuer.
LOLA
Turtles, dolphins, sandpipers, and terns! This biologist handles our beach condo services and can help organize a trip to North Carolina with fun and learning for all. Lola is an experienced world traveler and a wildlife expert.
